An Asset Tracking system from Real Time Location is an efficient method of locating high value assets and or mission critical equipment quickly and easily. It can help to reduce losses through misplacement of equipment and improve security. Enabling Personnel to pinpoint equipment when needed. When fewer portable assets are required, the benefits are a reduction in capital, maintenance servicing, storage and depreciation cost.
Each asset is assigned an RFID or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) tag, which uniquely identifies it to the system through Radio Frequency Identification RFID or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
Wireless Location Modules (RFID WLMs) or Wireless Beacons (BLE WBs) are strategic located at points throughout the site. Each WLM or WB is configured to detect the tags within range of the read zone (between 0.5 & 80 metres). Assets are tracked as they are moved within and around the site. The unique ID of tags are read by the WLMs or WB's which wirelessly transmit the ID of the tags to a central RFID reader or Bluetooth Gateway.
The central RFID Readers or BLE Gateways receive signals from the WLMs or WBs. RFID Readers or BLE Gateways connect to the software located on a network server. The system monitors the location of all assets in real time.
Personnel can find assets from a desktop PC, tablet of smart phone. The system can instantly provide a real time inventory to all the assets.
Asset tracking and locating system
The system integrates remote RF identification technology, short-range RF technology and multiple-access anti-collision technology, monitoring technology, tags, locators, readers, communication gateways, etc., using new embedded microprocessors and embedded software. It has many advantages such as strong signal penetrating power, no electromagnetic pollution to the human body, and strong environmental adaptability, simultaneously locating multiple tags, wireless alarm, etc.
1. Asset management status monitoring
(1) In-position monitoring function
The system has real-time supervision function for the state information, location information and usage status of the classified assets within the range of monitoring.
(2) Abnormal state alarm function
Tag removal alarm: When the tag recording the information of the classified asset is forcibly removed from the confidential carrier or the tag is faulty and the classified asset is not controlled, the system will activate alarms by means of sound and light, SMS etc.
Cross-border alarm: When some one unauthorized use or move the classified assets to the unauthorized area, the system will automatically activate the alarms by the sound and light, call nearby cameras and other alarm functions, and take emergency treatment which are established in advance.
2. Position tracking
In the monitoring area, the system can track and locate the classified assets and persons. Their position and movement can be reviewed in real time. And their accurate trajectory can be tracked.

Information management function
Connect the confidential asset information to the tags, establish a database of classified asset information, and realize information management of classified assets;
Authorized use function
The system can set the authorization management function according to the users' confidential management system to meet the their needs;
Asset inspection function
In accordance with the classified asset management system, the confidential staff regularly checks and counts the classified assets using handheld devices.
4. Video linkage function
When an abnormal situation occurs in a classified asset, the system can automatically perform video forensics work in the monitoring area.
5. Equipment condition monitoring
When the monitoring device is damaged or broken, the system automatically sends the device abnormality information and performs alarm processing.
The system can be used in some specific key areas for the asset locating. Once the assets enter the key area, the positioning system works and alarm will be activated. Linked with the video monitoring function, the system can realize video linkage.
The low-frequency activator rod antenna is used, and the active area of each antenna is adjustable from 1m to 5m. When the asset enters the antenna wake-up area, the tag transmits its ID and the activated antenna address code ID in real time to 2.4G remote readers. The information can directly be used as the data base for asset area positioning. The reader can simultaneously activate alarm and video linkage analysis.
